When Dad is a Serial Killer | The Case of Andrea Blanchard & Trudi
On July 21st, 1985, Australian single mother Andrea Blanchard lived in constant fear, hiding with her young daughter Trudi. Every time the phone rang, Andrea braced herself for the worst: another bomb had exploded, and this time, hundreds of people were severely injured. The terror that had gripped New South Wales for years was the work of the elusive Family Court Bomber—a man unbeknownst to authorities at the time to be Leonard Warwick.
For years, law enforcement had been unable to catch Warwick. The bombings continued, each one more horrific than the last. But Andrea knew something the cops didn’t—something that could finally put an end to the carnage. She knew what the Family Court Bomber wanted: her daughter, 7-year-old Trudi.
Andrea’s fear for her daughter's life pushed her to take matters into her own hands. She was determined to stop this madman, even if it meant putting herself in harm’s way. With no one else to rely on, Andrea became the only person capable of ending the bombings—and saving Trudi from becoming the bomber’s next target. But in the face of such unspeakable danger, would Andrea be able to outsmart a killer who had already eluded the authorities for so long?
