On March 7, 2014, the bodies of Britney Cosby and Crystal Jackson, a young couple deeply in love, were discovered behind a convenience store dumpster in Galveston, Texas. Their brutal murders shocked the community, and investigators were left with few clues about what had happened. As the investigation unfolded, suspicion began to fall on those closest to the victims. Detectives turned their attention to the victims' fathers, both of whom had expressed intense disapproval of their daughters’ relationship.
The case took an unexpected turn when authorities learned that Crystal’s 5-year-old daughter, Zaniah, had been present at the time of the murders. Hidden in the couple’s car during the crime, Zaniah may have witnessed the horrific events unfold. While detectives worked tirelessly to piece together the evidence, Zaniah’s testimony emerged as a potential key to unraveling the truth behind the tragedy.

It’s the early hours of June 7th, 1995, when Detective Bill Lindsey arrives at a grim crime scene in a small Arkansas town. The scene is one of devastation: 34-year-old Mary Phillips and her 11-year-old daughter, Lacey, are believed to have been brutally murdered in Mary’s office. Carefully, Detective Lindsey begins documenting the tragedy, taking photographs of the bloodied aftermath to piece together the events of the horrific crime.
He moves methodically, starting with Mary, whose lifeless body lies still. Then he turns his attention to the small figure slumped in a chair—the young girl. Her head hangs down, her body smeared in blood, and she appears to be lifeless, just like her mother. But as Lindsey positions his camera and the flash illuminates the room, something incredible happens. Lacey’s eyes flutter open, shocking the detective. Against all odds, the little girl is alive--and she'll be key to bringing down serial killer Jack Jones.
