It’s September 2007, and Christine Belford places a desperate call to the Newcastle police, reporting that her three young daughters are missing. Taken by their father, David Matusiewicz, the children vanish without a trace. Months, authorities track them down across international borders, bringing the girls home and sending David to prison for kidnapping. But Christine’s nightmare is only beginning.
4 years later: March 20, 2011 and a disturbing video entitled “don’t hurt me mommy” is uploaded to Youtube, showing young mother Christine Belford with her 3 children in the street, being secretly filmed. 4 years earlier, in September of 2007, Christine frantically calls the Newcastle police department, telling them her 3 daughters have been kidnapped. What had started in 2007 was a plan of revenge against Christine and her daughters by David's entire family that would end up escalating for over 8 years, ultimately becoming known as one of America’s worst cases of cyberstalking.

On February 17, 2003, Kristi Johnson’s mother, Terry Hall, contacted police after two days of silence from her daughter, a troubling break in her usually consistent communication. Kristi’s roommate revealed that Kristi had left their apartment for an audition in the Hollywood Hills, thrilled about a potential opportunity to star as a Bond Girl. But as detectives dug deeper, they uncovered a chilling truth: the promised audition was a fabrication, and the man who lured Kristi was not the Hollywood executive he claimed to be.
The investigation led authorities to the Century City Mall, where Kristi had shopped on the day of her disappearance. What she purchased would become a pivotal clue, helping to expose a dangerous predator, Victor Paleologus, who had hunted women for years. As the case unfolded, more and more of his previous victims would come forward, and ensure that he would pay for the crimes he'd committed.
